First Day of School, First Day of School!!

Well, today I sent my baby off to Kindergarten. It was very bittersweet. Cried lots of tears, but was so happy to hear about how good his day went. His teacher read "The Kissing Hand" to them, which is one of the sweetest books (we own it of course!). A perfect first day story. This is a story about a little raccoon ready to start school. He talks about his fears to his mother, fears that most children have before beginning school. His mother comes up with a wonderful solution to help her little raccoon remember that she loves him and is thinking about him, even when she isn't with him. A wonderful and heart-warming story to share with little ones.

The older boys started 5th and 2nd grade. HOLY MOLY! They both are getting to where they still want mom to take them on the first day, but not hang out so much when they get there :). Very proud of all of them. And excited for what the school year holds.

Pretty soon I'm going to be home alone wondering where my babies went.

But until then I will try and cherish every day with them, even the crazy hectic ones.

I recently saw a post on Pinterest about a family who started a notebook, left in a random place in the house where everyone in the family knew where it was could write in it throughout each day. They would write down one thing, or more, each day of something they were grateful for and thankful for.

I've decided as a family to do this as well. Can't wait to see what my boys write, and even myself. I do believe its always good to reflect on the blessings in our lives, even when life seems so crazy at times. I also want to make sure the boys learn they aren't entitled to anything, but blessed by God to receive all the good they have in their lives.

So tonight, I know I am thankful. Thankful for all the ups and downs, because it means I have one more day to spend with my children, family and friends. Thankful for new school years, because it means I live in a place where my children can get a good education in a safe place.

Thankful, and blessed!

Love - Lindi

Ohh hoo...thoooose Suuu-uuum-mmer....Niiiii-ights!

Summer has almost come to end and we will soon settle back into the school routine, in addition to fall baseball and fall soccer.

If I know one thing, I know this summer has been HOT! I'm looking forward to the fall weather and the Holidays.

The past few months have been full of craziness for us, but fun none the less.

We watched Mason play in several tournaments at the first of the summer, and he hit FOUR over the fence home runs in one weekend! Six for the season.

I also took the boys and some friends to their first Barnum and Bailey Circus and they had a blast.

One of the highlights of the summer was when I got to meet Kevin Durant at his basketball camp that we signed Mason up for. I was exstatic!

In July the boys swam a lot to stay cool, Davis broke his wrist while goofing off with his cousins in Texas and then Gibson turned 5! It was an eventful month.

Now we are preparing to go back to school and enjoying the last few days of summer.

Mason will be going into 4th grade this year and starting a new school. He's going to the same middle school I went to in 7th grade, so I'm anxious to see how they have changed it from a middle school to an "elementary" school.

Davis is going into 1st grade this year, at the same school he was at last year. I can't believe he is already old enough to be a first grader. I feel like after this age, it goes by so fast.... :(

Gibson won't be starting Kindergarten this year. He's really young for his school age group, so we decided to give him another year to grow and mature. Although he thinks and acts like he's Mason's age!

Hope everyone has enjoyed their summer.

Here are some pictures from ours and the fun we had!

What do Monster Trucks and getting new furniture have in common?

Well, the last few weeks have been hectic but oh so fun, especially this past weekend.

Papa, Nana, Uncle Moses, Shawny and Noah all came to visit. Papa and Nana brought us "new to us" furniture and also helped give the house some much needed TLC! Our living room looks SO AWESOME now.

And not only did we get new furniture, but we also got to see the Monster Trucks for the first time! It was so much fun. A group of 14 of us went and everyone from the little boys to the big boys had fun! We all went to dinner in Bricktown before and made the entertaining walk to the Ford Center to watch the fun go down.

So what do Monster Trucks and getting new furniture have in common? They both made me happy and both are reasons I got to spend time with my family and friends.

Here are some pictures from Monster Trucks. Hope you all enjoy. Love you all!

P.S. April, we missed you!

The last few months of 2010 in pictures...

October/Halloween 2010

I turned 27 and the boys turned into villans. Mason was the guy off of Scream and the two little boys were vampires. We went to several festivals, haunted the zoo and went trick or treating with Mimu and Pipu like we do every year. It was a busy month and lots of fun to see how much they enjoy it now that they are another year older!

November/Thanksgiving 2010

Davis celebrated his 6th birthday and we spent Thanksgiving in Texas with our family. It was good to spend these two special occasions with all of my family. We are so lucky that my parents get along and we can all celebrate together. We had so much fun!

December/Christmas 2010

My favorite time of year. December was filled with lots of time spent with family and friends, parties, plays, good food and Christmas lights! I'm amazed at how fast the Holidays go by. We were once again blessed beyond words this past year and I am so thankful for all of the amazing people that are a part of our lives.

School Days!

Well the boys all started school this past Thursday. I always thought the day they would all be in school was so far away, and now it is here. I can't believe my little boys are getting so big. I tell them all the time that one day they will be bigger than mommy, and they always look so shocked! I wish I could hold on to their innocence forever. I wish they would stay my "little" boys.

Mason is in the 3rd grade this year. He has two of his really good friends in his class, so he was really excited about that. I can't believe he is in 3rd grade. I remember 3rd grade like it was yesterday! And to think he is going to the same school as I did is even harder to believe. I have pictures of his dad and I on the same playground that he plays on every day :). I am so proud of Mason and I know he will have a great year. I look at him every day and thank God for giving me such a kind hearted, loving little boy.

Davis is a big Kindergartener this year!! I thought it would be a repeat of me crying, like I did with Mason when he was that age, when I dropped him off...but he walked into his classroom with such confidence and pride, I was sooo proud of him. He kept making sure I was there, but he also made sure he did everything on his own. It was definitely bittersweet to watch my little guy act so grown up and ready to take on his "Big" school.

And then was Mr. Gibbers. He started Pre-K this year. When I dropped him off to go to his class it absolutely broke my heart. If you know Gibson you know that he is NEVER at a loss for words and is always silly. When I dropped him off for school the first day he didn't say a word, and he held on to my leg the whole time. It was so out of character for him, so I knew he was a little scared (although he would never admit it, stubborn like his momma like that). But I gave him a million hugs and kisses and he finally was ready to let me go.

Talk about a roller coaster of emotions that day. I definitely spent the day reflecting on how the past 8 years have flown by and wondering where I would be if I didn't have three amazing little boys to love me each and every day.

I am a very proud mom and as much as it makes me sad to see them grow up, I look forward to watching them every step of the way!

Not so busy days.....

It's been a while since I have been able to get on here and spend some time updating our blog. With two in baseball this year and starting a new position at work, things are just now settling down a bit.

The boys are enjoying the summer! We go to the pool when we can and enjoy spending time with our family and friends. Mason turned 8 this past May, and the attitude came with the additional year! He is still as sweet as ever though. Always taking care of me (when he's not arguing with me that is!). Davis is 5 and in between being too big and being too small. He will be 6 in November and he is so anxious to be "as big as Mason", both the little boys just adore him. Gibson just turned 4 yesterday and I swear in the past week he has grown an inch and he just acts older! He is one busy little boy too, and as entertaining as ever.

In the next few weeks we will start getting ready for school to start. Mason will be in 3rd grade, Davis in Kindergarten and Gibson in Pre-K. Oh how time flies! Then basketball will start, then soccer, then baseball again. But for now we are just enjoying being at home when we can and spend our nights reading books, watching movies and enjoying the "less" hectic part of the year :).

M's 7th Birthday

Mason turned 7 this past week and also had his last day of 1st Grade. We did a simple party for him, but he had tons of fun. He even said at one point the "his birthday was AWESOME!" Hope you all enjoy the pictures.

Also, Gibson started potting training and is doing GREAT! He went straight from diapers to undies with harldy any accidents. Such a big boy he is. He is so proud!

Hey everyone! I just added some new pictures of the kiddos. We are all doing well. Mason is in the middle of baseball season and doing awesome. So needless to say we spend a lot of evenings at the ball field...good thing we all love nachos and hotdogs because they've become a favorite dinner item! We all enjoy watching the little guy though, even his brothers enjoy it.

Hope everyone is doing well and we miss and love you all!

I've added a new song to our page. It's by my current favorite at the moment, Francesca Battistelli. She's an amazing christian singer and her songs are awesome! Hope you all enjoy.

Welcome!

I want to take this time to welcome everyone into a little bit of our lives. I know we don't get to see alot of family and friends all the time, so this is a great way to keep in touch. I love taking pictures of the boys, and they some-what like taking them, so I'll update them on here often!

The boys are so busy and getting so big!

Mason is in first grade this year, and doing awesome. His teacher brags about what a sweet boy he is all the time, and how gifted he is. He loves school, like his mommy. Mase also started t-ball this year, and then started pitching machine a few months later. Come spring he will start playing again, so we will spend or evenings at the ball field! He is such a helper to his momma and a caring big brother.

Davis turned four last month, and he knows it! Having a bigger brother makes you think you can be, and act, just as big! He will start Pre-K next school year, but for now he is in a pre-school program at daycare. He is the talker of the bunch and has never met a stranger! He can be a little onry at times, but has a super big heart.

Gibson (we like to call him Mr. Gibbers) is two now. He's the baby, and he won't let you forget it. He is mommy's little sidekick and the ruler of the roost! Gibbers is busy, busy, busy. He is talking up a storm these days, and loves to make us all laugh. He is a happy baby with a bubbly personality.

As for mom, I'm staying busy with the boys and enjoying every minute of it. We have our good and bad days, but we are thankful for them all. As always I thank God for all he has blessed in our lives.

I hope you all enjoy our webpage and visit often! Love you all!
